Crowdfunding for Your Trip is Now Available
I’m very excited to announce that we have launched a service I’ve wanted to provide for clients since I first started Origin. As of today, we now offer crowdfunding assistance to registered clients! Now that everything is all set to go, I’d like to take a moment to share how this platform operates.
If you are familiar with GoFundMe, Facebook, or other crowdfunding platforms, you might already have a feel for how this works. You create a campaign title, set a fundraising goal, and tell a bit about your story. Once completed, you’ll receive a link to a page like the sample pictured below. You can then share your link on your social media feeds with friends and family who can, in turn, share it with others.
It can be a lot of work to learn how to use these platforms, so we’ve made it easy for you! Once you’ve registered for a course, we provide you a link to our crowdfunding page that breaks the process down into three easy steps: submit a picture (or video), set a fundraising goal, and tell your story. Just fill out the forms provided, and we’ll generate the campaign page for you in 1-3 days. From there, you share your link on your social media feeds and start fundraising.
Our goal is to subsidize our trips for everyone someday and provide scholarships for dozens of individuals each year. At this time, we are still focusing on building resources that allow us to host more clients each summer to maximize our impact and learning outcomes. In the meantime, we hope this helps empower individuals to bring their experience to life in a more affordable way.
